Aldi EEEPC(Medion Akoya mini) für 399 Euro ab dem 3 Juli im Handel

Am 3. Juli wird Aldi Süd dem Eee PC aus dem Hause Asus Konkurrenz machen. An diesem Tag wird man ein 399 Euro teures Netbook verkaufen. Das Mini-Notebook verfügt über ein 10-Zoll-Display, eine echte Festplatte sowie eine nahezu normal große Tastatur.
Bei dem Medion akoya mini, so die offizielle Bezeichnung, handelt es sich um ein MSI Wind U100, das bereits auf der CeBIT zu sehen war. Im Inneren verricht ein sparsamer Atom-Prozessor (N270) von Intel mit 1,6 GHz seine Arbeit. Der Arbeitsspeicher ist mit einem Gigabyte ausreichend - die Festplatte fasst 80 Gigabyte. Ein CD- oder DVD-Laufwerk wurde nicht verbaut.
Das MSI Wind
Um die Darstellung der Grafik auf dem 10 Zoll kleinen Display kümmert sich der Intel-Chipsatz GMA950. Zur Kommunikation mit der Außenwelt ist eine WLAN-Schnittstelle nach dem Standard IEEE 801.11b/g/Draft-N vorhanden. Ansonsten findet man 3 USB-Anschlüsse, VGA, Audio und einen Kartenleser. Auch eine Webcam sowie ein Mikrofon wurden integriert.
Auf dem Netbook ist Windows XP Home als Betriebssystem vorinstalliert. Zusätzlich liefert Medion Corel Office X3, Wiso Mein Geld und eine Sicherheits-Software mit. Das kleine Notebook ist 26 cm breit, 18 cm tief und 2 bis 3,2 cm hoch. Das Gewicht gibt der Hersteller mit 1,2 kg an. Über die Akkulaufzeit liegen keine Informationen vor.

Aber leider ohne Linux.
Für mich kommt ein Netbook ( Mini Notbook ) mit Windows nicht in Frage. Windows verbraucht mehr Strom und ist nicht für Geräte dieser Art konzipiert.
Linux ist kostenlos. Ich benötige kein Antivirus und es arbeitet auf diesen Geräten wesentlich schneller.
Also wo ist das Problem ? Verkauft das Gerät mit Linux und bietet das Gerät für 50 € weniger an.
