Servive Pack 3 für Windows XP kommt ab morgen über Auto Update Funktion von Windows

Nachdem Microsoft am Montag nur vage Angaben zur geplanten Auslieferung des Windows XP Service Pack 3 als automatisches Update gemacht hatte, liegen nun konkrete Informationen vor. Es wäre bereits der dritte Versuch.

Nach Angaben von Microsoft soll das Windows XP SP3 ab Donnerstag, dem 10. Juli 2008, 10:00 Uhr PDT, also amerikanischer Westküstenzeit via Auto-Update kommen. In Deutschland ist es um diese Zeit bereits 19:00 Uhr am gleichen Tag.

Ab dem genannten Zeitpunkt wird das Paket an alle Anwender ausgeliefert, die in ihren Update-Einstellungen eine automatische Installation neuer Aktualisierungen festgelegt haben. Wie üblich kann die Installation auf Wunsch auch mit dem so genannten Blocker-Tool für 12 Monate verhindert werden.
